NELSON COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office reports a man wanted for a 2022 sexual battery was arrested Tuesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, Christopher Heath Hunt of Shipman has been taken into custody thanks to information from the community.

Hunt was wanted for a 2022 incident in which he was charged with sodomy of a mentally incapacitated person, object sexual penetration, and aggravated sexual battery.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office at (434) 263-7050.

There is no information available yet regarding an appearance in court for Hunt.
