LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A woman from Fredericksburg has pleaded guilty to charges in Louisa County, including attempted second-degree murder.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Rusty McGuire announced on Wednesday that 25-year-old Erann Ohse pleaded to the murder charge as well as malicious wounding, malicious shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted armed burglary, destruction of property and eluding law enforcement.

A co-defendant, 26-year-old Andrew Poindexter of King George County, previously pleaded to several of these charges as well as possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.

According to a release, Ohse and Poindexter traveled to Louisa County from Fredericksburg on March 29, 2022 with the intent of harming Ohse’s ex-boyfriend.

The two drove to the ex-boyfriend’s home and attempted to force their way in through the front door while wearing ski masks and armed with handguns and several extra ammunition magazines.

They were unable to get into the home and Ohse then fired 10 rounds through a window, hitting a young woman who was inside in the shoulder.

Ohse and Poindexter then left and the residents called law enforcement, providing a description of Poindexter’s Chevrolet Camaro.

Poindexter and Ohse led deputies on a high-speed chase with speeds near 120 miles per hour.

Law enforcement officers eventually lost sight of the Camaro, but they later found the two people standing outside of the vehicle on a cul-de-sac near the Hanover County line.

Ohse and Poindexter were arrested, and when searched, deputies found a loaded 9 mm handgun and an empty magazine in Ohse’s pocket.

Deputies also recovered the ski masks, which contained DNA from the two, disposable gloves and almost a pound of marijuana.

The release says Ohse had had a brief romantic relationship with the man living at the Louisa County home, but that had ended in February 2022.

It adds that Ohse sent a birthday text message to the man just hours before arriving at the home and trying to kill him.

Ohse faces up to 63 years in prison. She is scheduled to be sentenced on May 10. Poindexter faces up to 70 years behind bars and will be sentenced on May 31.
