VDOT invited to hold presentation on upcoming Bypass, Old Garth Road project

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Members of the Albemarle County community have a chance to learn more about an upcoming road project.
County officials have invited the Virginia Department of Transportation to give a presentation about the U.S. 250/29 Bypass to Old Garth Road Operational Improvement Project.
According to a release, this project aims to make improvements to the 250/29 southbound ramp and Old Garth Road in order to address traffic backups that frequently occur.
VDOT will be holding the presentation on Feb. 22 beginning at 6 p.m. in the Lane Auditorium at the McIntire Road County Office Building.
Representatives will explain more about the improvements and how they will provide a smoother traffic flow as well as the next steps in the project and what to expect as it moves forward.
