ACPD investigating homicide at apartment complex
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department says one person was killed in a shooting that occurred Tuesday night.
According to police, officers responded to a shots fired call around 9:40 p.m. on the 300 block of Timberland Lane.
When they arrived, they found 34-year-old Joshua Lamont Jones of Charlottesville, who had been hit by gunfire.
He was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center where he later was pronounced dead.

No further information will be released at this time.
Police are not saying anything about whether or not this incident is connected with one last week that injured a juvenile right across Old Lynchburg Road on Wahoo Way.
The investigation into the incident at Cavalier Crossing is also still underway.
