CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Culinary Concepts AB celebrated a milestone on Thursday at the Center at Belvedere.

A group of culinary students became the 14th class to graduate from the program.

Participants went through a total of seven weeks in the program while learning occupational, life, and social skills. They also held pop-up shops where they showcased their talents.

Students were able to visit and work with some of the organization’s food service partners in addition to their training.

"I've been wanting to do this for a long time. So, for me to actually have this accomplished after waiting so long to get it done, and actually completing the tasks that I've set out to do, and then I'm going to use it to prosper," said April Vest-Sims, a new graduate.

After the ceremony, the graduates were given the opportunity to find employment with chef mentors.
