Committee recommends new names for Burnley-Moran, Johnson elementary schools

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) --A Charlottesville committee is recommending changing the names of two more elementary schools in the city.
According to a release, the Charlottesville City Schools Naming of Facilities Committee has recommended changing Burnley-Moran Elementary to Blue Mountain Elementary and Johnson Elementary to Cherry Avenue Elementary.
This recommendation will be presented to the Charlottesville School Board on Thursday evening and a vote is expected on it next month.
In January, the names of Venable Elementary and Clark Elementary were changed to Trailblazers Elementary and Summit Elementary respectively.
