ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance to identify a suspect in a robbery.

The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. Thursday at the Walmart on Germanna Highway in Locust Grove.

The suspect is described as a Black man who was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. He also had on a mask and a hat.

The sheriff’s office says he is tall and has a heavy build.

While the suspect did not display a weapon, the sheriff’s office says he did make statements suggesting he could have one.

The suspect left the store on foot, but it is believed he got into a gold-colored Volvo station wagon that left from the rear parking lot.

Area residents who have Ring-type cameras are asked to check their footage between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday to see if they spot the vehicle.
