LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Restaurant Week has already started in Louisa County to help benefit a local cause.

Several restaurants in the area are participating, showcasing their food, hospitality, and great atmosphere.

Each restaurant will be donating proceeds to the Louisa Resource Council, which helps people struggling financially within the community. This organization provides clothing, healthy groceries, and many other amenities geared toward basic needs.

If you stop into a restaurant like Tim’s at Lake Anna, you will definitely have a delicious meal from the specialized menu for Restaurant Week. It is offering a number of fan favorites and even some new dishes.

“It’s probably the underdog of the menu. Our seafood pasta is something that doesn’t get ordered very often because people are looking for something a little bit quicker in the summertime and our seafood pasta is made to order every time,” said Hailey Gaines, a Tim’s at Lake Anna staff member.

Restaurants like Obrigado offer foods from different cultures. Owner and Chef Jade Lourenco says she learned how to make paella in Spain and offers a very traditional recipe. There are also other cultures represented on the menu.

“We do a lot of pastas. We have a little bit of Middle Eastern, sometimes you’ll see Moroccan things. Just depends on what cookbook we’re reading. And you get to see some of that in the menu,” she said.

Restaurant Week ends on March 19, so be sure to stop at any of the 17 participating spots and help a great cause.
