LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Louisa County is having its Restaurant Week this week to help benefit a local cause.

Several restaurants in the area are participating to showcase their food, hospitality, and great atmosphere in Louisa.

Jade Lourenco, the owner of Obrigado, says the restaurant business is growing more in Louisa, bringing different cultures with it.

"So, I think for the local community it is important to have access to good food and a nice time out without having to drive a long distance," said Lourenco.

Each restaurant will be donating proceeds to the Louisa Resource Council, which helps people struggling financially within the community. This organization provides clothing, healthy groceries, and many other amenities geared toward basic needs.
