CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Basketball fans can experience some of the March Madness excitement at the Paramount Theater.

The theater will be showing the University of Virginia Cavaliers taking on Furman in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday.

Admission to this event will be free, but advance registration is recommended. The theater says registration does not guarantee admission.

Attendees are encouraged to show up early to get a seat, and unclaimed seats will be offered to people on the Wait List and Standby Line 15 minutes before the game begins.

The event is scheduled to kick off at 12:40 p.m.
