CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department is asking for help to find a missing person.

According to police, 17-year-old Quiniya Mikia Best ran away from her home on Feb. 24 and has not been heard from since.

She was last seen wearing a medical boot on her right foot, a red and black shoe on her left foot, blue jeans with ripped knees, and a gray or black sweater.

Best is 5-foot-2 and weighs 175 pounds. 

She is known to frequent areas in and around Charlottesville and Waynesboro.
