ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A man from Keswick was killed in a crash on Interstate 64 on Wednesday.

According to the Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 5:10 p.m. near mile marker 110 in western Albemarle County.

A 2005 Dodge pickup heading west on the interstate ran off the left side of the road and into the median.

The vehicle then re-entered the westbound lanes, ran off the right shoulder and hit the guardrail before overturning.

The driver, 46-year-old Albert F. Putnam IV of Keswick was not wearing a seat belt and was partially thrown out of the truck. He died at the scene.

An adult man and an adult woman who were passengers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
