ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- People will see paving work taking place at the Richmond Road and Interstate 64 diverging diamond interchange next week.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says the project will begin Tuesday at 9 p.m., taking place on Richmond Road between Peter Jefferson Parkway and Hunters Way.

Paving will also include the on and off ramps of the interchange.

The work will be taking place during the overnight hours, ending each morning at 5 a.m.

Drivers should expect alternating lane closures with flaggers directing them through the interchange.
