CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department is preparing for the second annual Charlottesville Criterium and Bike Fest near the Dairy Market on Saturday.

Among other activities, 350 bikers will race and have a parade.

Preston Avenue at Eighth Street to the Dairy Market will close down at 9 a.m. and reopen at 4 p.m.

Police said they know traffic is a nuisance, but this year, they’re trying to add more signage to make it better for those who need to be in the area.

If you can, they’re asking people to please avoid the area.
