ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance regarding a commercial burglary that occurred in Locust Grove.

According to the sheriff’s office, the incident occurred around 4:20 a.m. April 26 at Tobacco Island on the 4000 block of Germanna Highway.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they saw the glass front door had been broken and various tobacco-related items were scattered on the floor.

Surveillance video showed five people breaking through the door and entering the store. These unknown suspects took money as well as retail merchandise.

Two of the people allegedly involved are minors, ages 15 and 16. They have been charged with grand larceny, burglary, felony vandalism, larceny with the intent to sell, conspiracy to commit larceny, and gang participation.

These two individuals are in custody at the Rappahannock Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

However, the investigation is ongoing and the other three individuals have not yet been identified.
