One escaped inmate captured in Mexico

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CBS19 NEWS) -- One of the men who escaped from a Virginia jail last weekend has now been captured.
The FBI reports Alder Alfonso Marin-Sotelo was caught on Thursday afternoon in the state of Guerrero, Mexico by Mexican authorities.
The investigation into his movements between his escape from the Piedmont Regional Jail and his recapture is ongoing.
Marin-Sotelo was in custody on federal weapons charges.
He has also been charged in connection with the murder of a North Carolina law enforcement officer in Wake County.
Marin-Sotelo escaped from the jail during the early morning hours of April 30, seen on surveillance video climbing a fence and getting into a red vehicle.
His sister, Adriana Marin-Sotelo, has also been arrested and charged with conspiracy to instigate or assist an escape.
At this time, there is no word regarding the other inmate who escaped from the Piedmont Regional Jail, Bruce Carroll Callahan.
