CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- It’s been just about one month since an intercity bus service started transporting people from Charlottesville to New York City.

And now it’s adding a new stop.

FlixBus announced on Thursday that it has added a stop at the University of Virginia, at the corner of University Avenue and Newcomb Lane.

Now buses will depart from Grounds at 11:35 a.m. daily and then stop at the Charlottesville Union Station at 11:45 a.m.

Initially, people had to meet the bus at the train station in order to catch a ride to the Big Apple.

After Union Station, the bus heads toward Richmond and then turns north, arriving in New York by 8:20 p.m.

Buses coming from New York will depart NYC Midtown at 8:30 a.m. daily and arrive in Charlottesville around 5 p.m.
