AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A Charlottesville man has been arrested after a shooting in Augusta County injured two people.

Around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, the Augusta County Sheriff's Office received a call for a shooting on the 2900 block of Stuarts Draft Highway.

Deputies found two 18-year-old males in a vehicle and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

One victim was in the front seat of the vehicle and had a gunshot wound to his lower back, while the second person, later identified as the shooter, was in the back seat and had a gunshot wound to the hand.

Deputies charged 18-year-old Amvion Andre Barbour of Charlottesville with one count of felony reckless handling of a firearm with serious injury.

Barbour was arrested without incident and is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail without bond.

According to Sheriff Donald L. Smith, this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
