CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- An Orange County resident was killed in a crash in Culpeper County on Monday.

According to the Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 9:05 a.m. on Lover Lane just west of the intersection with Zachary Taylor Highway.

Police say a 2001 Ford Focus was heading east on Lover Lane when it ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, crossed the double solid centerline and then ran off the left side of the road.

The Ford overturned before it came to a stop.

The driver, identified as 69-year-old Cecelia A. Frye of Burr Hill, died at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt.

The crash is still under investigation.
