Sign-up opens soon for summer reading challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Area children will soon be able to sign up for the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library’s Summer Challenge.
The theme for this year’s challenge is All Together Now: Todos Juntos Ahora - Kindness/Friendship/Unity.
JMRL says it’s all about supporting and caring for each other in the community.
Starting on May 22, people of any age group wishing to participate can sign into Beanstack and register for the challenge.
There will be activities to complete to earn badges and be entered to win prizes.
After the challenge ends on Aug. 31, there will be a drawing for gift cards, each of which will be worth $75, at each JMRL location. There will be individual drawings for adults, teens and children.
