RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A man from Rappahannock County has been arrested on drug and firearms charges.

According to a release, the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force completed a six-month investigation which led to the arrest of 45-year-old Eric L. Butler.

On Thursday, the task force searched a home on Brinkley Lane where 100 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of heroin, and 100 grams of marijuana were seized. These drugs have an estimated street value of $18,000.

Officials also seized nearly $21,800 in currency, a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe, and seven firearms.




Butler was arrested at that time on two felony counts of possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I/II drugs, one felony count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one felony count 
of possession of a firearm while in possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and one felony count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He is being held at the RSW Regional Jail.
