CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- St. Anne's-Belfield guard Kymora Johnson and Fluvanna County pitcher J.J. Glasscock are the 2022-23 Airflow CBS19 Student Athletes of the Year.

Johnson was honored as the Student Athlete of the Week in February on her way to finishing a stellar career with STAB. Johnson averaged 22.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 4.4 steals per game as a senior, while leading the Saints to the VISAA DI State Championship game.

This year Johnson earned multiple high level honors being named a McDonald's All-American, earning her second-straight Virginia Gatorade State Player of the Year and had her jersey retired by STAB. The Charlottesville native will continue her career on the court at UVA next year playing for Amaka Agugua-Hamilton.

"I don't know I guess we'll see, excited," Johnson said about her upcoming journey with the Cavaliers, "I can't wait, counting down the days.

Glasscock was recognized as the Student Athlete of the Week in April after a standout career on the mound for Fluvanna County. The senior pitcher finished the season throwing 46.1 innings with only 14 hits and two earned runs allowed, while finishing with six career no-hitters.

The Fluco ace also finished the year with a 3.8 GPA and next year Glasscock will take the mound for West Virginia.

"It means everything, I wouldn't be here where I am without them behind me, so it means everything," Glasscock said about his teammates, "It changed who I am and it made me who I am today."
