ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, 46-year-old Laura DeLapp was shot and killed around 4:35 p.m. on the 1600 block of Rio Hill Drive.

A suspect ran away from the scene at that time. There is no word on that person’s current location.
