ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- There is a new member of the executive team at the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA.

According to a release, Taylor Maddox is the new Foster, Adoption, Intake and Rescue/Transfer operations director.

"The team is pleased to join me in welcoming Taylor Maddox to CASPCA," says Interim Executive Director Sue Friedman. "She brings impressive experience and skills to our organization, and we look forward to continuing our growth with her leadership role."

Maddox brings experience from several other animal shelters with her, including stints as the shelter operations manager in Charlotte, North Carolina; the shelter supervisor at the Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement; the adoption center manager at the Lynchburg Humane Society; and the lifesaving outcome specialist at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Additionally, an announcement is expected soon regarding a manager for the Animal Behavior Department, which recently added feline and canine enrichment specialists.
