UVA releases non-conference schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- With less than four months until tip off the UVA men's basketball team announced their 2023-24 non-conference schedule. The non-conference slate includes the first ever ACC-SEC Challenge contest with Texas A&M.
The non-conference slate includes 11 games, starting with the home opener on November 6th against Tarleton State. The Cavaliers will then meet Florida at a neutral cite in Charlotte on November 10th for the Hall of Fame series then return home for a two game home stand against North Carolina A&T and Texas Southern. In addition to the Hall of Fame tournament the Wahoos will participate in the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-off in Florida. There they will play both Wisconsin and either West Virginia or SMU.
Other notable match ups include a road game against Memphis on December 19th and home contests against North Carolina Central University, Northeastern and Morgan State.
UVA's 20-game ACC schedule includes home-and-home match ups with Georgia Tech, Louisville, NC State, Notre Dame, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers will only host Miami, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Syracuse, while only playing road contests at Boston College, Clemson, Duke and Florida State.
