ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) held a change of command ceremony last week. Members of the NGIC, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, and U.S. Army senior leaders all gathered to induct the new brigade commander.

According to a press release, Colonel Eric Haas, who most recently served as an instructor in the U.S. Army War College, assumed command from Colonel Christopher Rankin.

Haas lived in Charlottesville in his early childhood, and he says he is excited to be back in a city where he has so many fond memories. He plans to modernize, develop and get more recruits over the next two years.
