CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- On Wednesday, U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger will host an open, public telephone town hall from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. focused on a range of issues facing Virginia’s veterans, military families and caregivers.

The virtual event is also going to be livestreamed via video on Spanberger’s congressional website and Facebook page.

Spanberger will be joined by representatives from the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, including Ben Shaw and Guy Dinkins. She will also share important updates for veterans and survivors looking to apply for new U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits that were signed into law as part of the bipartisan Honoring Our PACT Act, which she voted to pass in August 2022.

To join the interactive telephone town hall, Virginians should dial (833) 380-0670.

The event will be Spanberger’s 49th open, public town hall event.
