Silva sentenced to prison
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A troubled social media personality is heading to prison.
Bryan Silva pleaded guilty in May to charges of possession of ammunition and possession of drugs by a convicted felon.
Court records show he was sentenced to three years in prison for the drug charge and five years for the ammunition one, but some of that time was suspended.
He will serve an active sentence of one year and six months, provided he keeps to the terms of his probation.
Silva was arrested in November after making threats against the University of Virginia on social media.
This occurred right around the time of the shooting on Grounds that killed three members of the UVA football team, injured a fourth football player and injured another student.
