UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: The Virginia Department of Transportation says Seminole Trail has reopened following the removal of a tree.

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Drivers heading into Charlottesville from northern Albemarle County may see some delays Monday afternoon.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says one southbound lane of Seminole Trail is closed in the area of Airport Acres Road.

Crews are in the area for an emergency tree removal project.

At this time, it is not known when the work will be completed.
