CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- Coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton and company now know who they will be facing when they head to the Cayman Islands later this year. 

The tournament announcing Tuesday morning that the Virginia women's basketball team will open Cayman Island Classic play on November 24th at 11 a.m. against Tulane. The following day, the Cavs will take on reigning national champions, LSU, at 5 p.m. 

Both teams are coming off winning 2022-23 campaigns. Tulane finished 18-14 and secured their third consecutive WNIT bid, while the Tigers finished with a program-best 34-2 record on their way to the program's first national championship. 

Kansas, Niagara, Virginia Tech, UCLA and UConn will also participate in this year's event.
