School bus driver cited after crash involving two buses

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Several students were hurt in a crash involving two school buses in Augusta County on Thursday.
According to the Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 3:35 p.m. on northbound Route 11 near the Mint Spring area.
Two Augusta County Public Schools buses were heading north on Route 11 when one slowed for a passenger vehicle in front of it that was trying to make a left turn.
VSP reports the second bus did not brake in time and hit the read of the first bus.
Ten student passengers between both buses were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Two students were taken to Augusta Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the second bus was cited for following too closely.
