Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, Aniekan comes to CBS19 from WPRI in Providence where he worked as a sports producer while completing his degree at the University of Rhode Island.

At URI, he worked as a digital reporter for the university's athletic department where he had a chance to cover the women's basketball team's first ever regular season conference title. He also served as the sports editor of the "Good Five Cent Cigar, the school's student-run weekly newspaper, and as a sports anchor for the "Five Cent Cigar Newscast."

Outside of work, you can find him cheering on any Boston sports team and Chelsea FC, working out, playing pick-up basketball and listening to Hip-Hop and Afrobeats music.
