CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- A brace from freshman Stephen Annor Gyamfi helped the Cavaliers picked up their first ACC win of the season Saturday night 3-1. 

The win was also saw head coach George Gelnovatch eclipse the century mark for ACC wins, becoming the second coach to record 100 ACC wins and the first to do that all at one school. 

“It means a lot, but it means even more the way we did it today with the fans that we had and the quality goals," Gelnovatch said. "One hundred wins in the ACC is hard. But tonight, the way the players did it and way the fans support us makes it extra special.”

One of those players that made it special was freshman Stephen Annor Gyamfi who continued his scoring tear this season with a pair of goals against the Wolfpack. 

"[The] second goal,  I thought he thought 'oh, I have the ball. I know. I'm coming," Annor Gyamfi said. "Yeah, Stephen Airlines. I got to finish it. I know I have more to give and I'm ready to give more."

The Cavaliers are back in action on Friday when they head to South Bend to take on No. 10 Notre Dame at 7 p.m.
