CULPEPER, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Two regional leaders are being recognized for their service to the community.

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission has announced its annual Leadership Award honorees.

Former Orange County Supervisor James Crozier, who is also a former RRRC Chairman, will receive the Government Leadership Award.

And Felicia Champion is getting the Citizen Leadership award for her work with Community Touch, Inc. in Fauquier County.

There will be a presentation during the RRRC’s annual meeting on Oct. 4.

These awards, first presented in 2007, go to government and citizen leaders in the commission’s service area for contributions to the Rappahannock-Rapidan region.

They also highlight efforts to enhance communication, coordination, collaborative governance and planning.
