CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- Lars Tiffany has done it again. For the fifth time in the last seven years UVA men's lacrosse lands the nation's top recruit as class of 2025 attackman Brendan Millon has committed to UVA. The 6'0 ft attackman from Maryland will join his brother and current UVA freshman McCabe for two years in Charlottesville.

The Maryland native has been a standout at the McDonogh School for the past two seasons. In his sophomore campaign Millon turned in 47 goals, and 33 assists in route to a second straight MIAA championship. As the top ranked recruit Millon picked Virginia over a number of impressive schools including Maryland, Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins.

"The academics have always been a very important thing for me," Millon told Inside Lacrosse in a recent interview, "At a hard school like McDonogh, I've had to work very hard for the grades I got, so I wanted to go somewhere where all of that would be worth it. Another thing is the new lacrosse facilities that are being built — they have some unreal things being built specifically for lacrosse. Also, after being there more than other schools because my brother goes there, I was able to get a better feel for the campus environment, and overall I loved it so much. Last but certainly not least is their national championship history and their history of winning."

Brendan Millon, like his brother, is just the latest in a long line of top ranked recruits to commit to Virginia. Starting with Connor Shellenberger (2019), Griffin Schutz (2021), McCabe Millon (2023), and Ryan Duenkel (2024), Lars Tiffany has proven to be one of the most effective recruiters in college lacrosse. Millon's recruiting class, class of 2025, now includes the No. 1, No. 5, and 13th ranked recruits.
