ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A Charlottesville man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a vehicle.

According to the Albemarle County Police Department, an investigation is underway regarding current and ongoing motor vehicle thefts across the county.

While investigating the incidents, officials learned about the possible location of one stolen vehicle and reached out to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in finding it.

ACPD then arrested 19-year-old Jonathan Sherman Barbour on two counts of grand larceny motor vehicle theft.

The ACSO has also filed charges against Barbour, including grand larceny and eluding police.

He is being held without bond.
