CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department is investigating a Wednesday night shooting in the area of Tonsler Park.

According to police, the incident occurred around 10:10 p.m.

Officers responding to the scene of a shots fired call found no signs of gunfire, but a victim connected to the incident sought medical attention around 11:30 p.m.

That victim arrived at the University of Virginia Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Detectives are investigating this incident.

CPD says there is currently no known threat to the public.
