CASPCA earns Best Friends Animal Society award
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA has earned a reward from the Best Friends Animal Society recognizing their efforts as a no-kill shelter. This brings them into the ranks of several other elite shelters that have also earned this award.
"We definitely value our culture of compassion and definitely our staff and volunteers, they work really hard here, they're dedicated to our mission of placing animals in loving, healthy homes," said Sierra Stevens, social media and marketing coordinator for the CASPCA.
The CASPCA has a 97% save rate for animals that come into their care and they are working together with the Best Friends Animal Society to end the euthanizing of dogs and cats in the United States by 2025.
