CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Members of the community can help plan the new look of Buford Middle School, which will be called Charlottesville Middle School when the modernization project is completed.

Charlottesville City Schools has launched an online survey to collect feedback about how the inside of the school should look and feel.

The survey is open to students, staff members and the community. Students attending Buford and Walker Elementary School will take the survey at school.

Throughout the month of November, a committee made up of staff, parents and students will meet to discuss the feedback from the survey.

The committee will help school leaders make decisions regarding wall graphics, art features and more.

When the renovation work is done, Charlottesville Middle School will serve students in sixth through eighth grades.

The project is expected to be completed by fall 2026.
