Crabtree Falls Trail closing for first responder training

NELSON COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A popular trail in Nelson County will be closed for part of the day Wednesday.
The U.S. Forest Service says Crabtree Falls Trail will be closed to all users from sunrise to noon.
This is due to the service hosting training for first responders in conjunction with Wintergreen Fire and Rescue.
“We know how much the public treasures Crabtree Falls,” said Glenwood-Pedlar District Ranger Lauren Stull. “Because of its high use, it’s imperative that we provide opportunities for first responders to prepare for emergency situations We appreciate the public’s patience while we undertake important training to keep our visitors safe.”
The trail will reopen after noon.
