UPDATE: The Albemarle County Police Department says Advance Mills Road reopened shortly after 3 p.m. Friday.

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Albemarle County Police Department says an overturned flatbed tractor trailer has closed a road.

According to police, the crash occurred on the 5700 block of Advance Mills Road near Frays Mill Road on Friday afternoon.

The roadway is completely blocked.

At this time, it is unknown how long the road will be closed.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
