CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- The list of accomplishments for senior receiver Malik Washington continues to grow during his short time with the Cavaliers.

Just days after breaking the Virginia single-season receptions and receiving yards record, Washington was one of 10 players named nationally as a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the most outstanding receiver in the FBS.

"You know we talked a lot about did I imagine this and I really didn't imagine things like this happening." Washington said after Saturday's win against Duke. "So I just know that the worked that I put in -- the work that we put in all offseason, all throughout the winter -- is paying off and I love to see that."

In 11 games this year, Washington has caught 96 passes for 1,311 receiving yards and he currently leads the ACC and ranks second in FBS in receptions, receptions per game (8.7), receiving yards (1,311) and receiving yards per game (119.2).

Washington has also caught nine touchdowns this season, tied for the fifth-most in UVA history and tied for the second most in the ACC. He needs four more receptions to become the sixth ACC player ever to catch 100 passes in a season.
