CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (CBS19 NEWS) -- After two years, the Virginia Tech Hokies and Virginia Cavaliers are set to face off once again in a highly anticipated game that was canceled last year following the tragic shooting on Grounds.

Saturday will be the 104th meeting between the two schools. Their first meeting was in 1895 and has become known as the Commonwealth Clash. UVA won that game at home, 38-0. Businesses on the Corner are getting ready for a surge of visitors.

"We are excited for the weekend. We are expecting a lot of people. It's going to be fun to play Tech again after last year, which was a sad situation all around. We are hoping we can end the season on a two-game win streak, keep Tech out of a bowl. We got high hopes," said Cal Mincer, president of Mincer's.

After beating Duke last week, Virginia is looking to win back-to-back ACC games for the first time since 2021.
