PHILADELPHIA Pa. (CBS19 SPORTS)-- The Cavaliers went on the road for their first true road test of the season and came away victorious, with a 94-73 win over La Salle.

La Salle got the early lead thanks to a three-pointer from Molly Masciantonio, but their lead but short lived. Virginia answered, scoring the next six points to take control. UVA shot 60% from the floor and eight different Cavaliers scored in the opening quarter.

Though UVA continued it's lead, back to back threes from Tiara Bolden pulled the explorers within six. This time it was freshman Kymora Johnson who responded as she score six straight buckets for the cavaliers. She had 12 points and two steals in just the first half alone and would go on to lead the day with 17 points.

Coming out of halftime with 45-33 lead, La Salle came knocking on the door pulling within single digits. UVA would once again take control with several turnovers that led to Virginia buckets. The 'Hoos ended the quarter with a 11-0 run to extend the lead to 20 points. Heading into the final frame Virginia didn't take their foot off the gas, winning in commanding fashion 94-73.

Virginia returns home for another non-conference matchup against Rider Wednesday at 7pm.
