CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 SPORTS) -- After two weeks away from the AP Top 25, the Virginia Cavaliers were back this week, checking in at No. 22.

The Cavaliers (8-1) have refound their familiar early-season form, riding a four-game winning streak after suffering their only loss of the season last month against now No. 23 Wisconsin.

“We have no other option because if we don't come out right, it doesn't matter who will play, we'll get beat and you know the second our guys think differently is the second that will lose, Virginia men's basketball coach Tony Bennett said after win against North Carolina Central last week.

Key to that winning streak has been sophomore Issac McKneely, who has caught fire, averaging 15.5 points per game on 55 percent shooting from beyond the arc, during that stretch.

"[Issac] McKneely is an alien," freshmen guard Elijah Gertrude jokingly said after last week's win. "He's not from here. I don't know where he's from. He came out and hit four threes in like three minutes and thirty seconds. I don't even know what to say. We were all on the bench feeling the energy from the arena. It was estatic."

The team return to action on Saturday evening when they host Northeastern at 6 p.m.
