ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A 25-year-old Albemarle County man has been taken into custody on charges of felony abduction, use or display of a firearm in committing a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On Wednesday at about 6 a.m., the Albemarle County Police Department responded to the 4100 block of Blenheim Road for a reported abduction.

The investigation determined that Dillon Matney brandished a firearm and forced a female victim out of her residence before fleeing the area. 

After an extensive search, the victim was safely located in Albemarle County.

Matney was taken into custody without incident. He is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.
