CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Unlocked History Escape Rooms has given us the Edgar Allen Poe experience, taken us back to World War II, and had us travel to Monticello in the 1700s.

This year, the escape room is getting bigger and better than ever before, as it is preparing to open a brand new escape room experience.

The room currently under construction is Da Vinci’s Discovery, which will be set in Florence, Italy, in the 1500s.

Everyone knows Leonardo Da Vinci and his inventions, so during this escape room, you’ll see a lot of familiar artwork and creations that will help you escape a famous villain from the Renaissance.

This escape room is going to be filled with mystery, fun and engagement for everyone.

"We just hope for people who have already done our other escape rooms to try this one. So we get a lot of people who they've done all three and they just can't wait to get to see one of our new ones, but also a lot of locals who haven't visited us yet," said Phil Riese, the owner of Unlocked History Escape Rooms.

Da Vinci’s Discovery is planning to be ready for adventurers in late spring or early summer of 2024.

And when you complete that one, do not worry, Unlocked History Escape Rooms will be expanding to seven escape rooms in the near future.
