CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Department of Parks and Recreation is looking for people to serve on an advisory board.

According to a release, members of the board serve as an advisory body for the Charlottesville City Manager and act as a liaison to the city manager between Parks and Rec and citizens.

The board consults with and advises on matters affecting Parks and Rec, such as marketing, membership, planning, programming, promotion and other related leisure services.

The release adds the board is responsible for inputting long-range planning for resources for capital projects for rehabilitation, design, and/or development for indoor and outdoor recreation.
