RICHMOND, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A man from Richmond is heading to prison after pleading guilty to a firearms charge.

According to a release, 34-year-old Henry Leon Marrow was seen conducting a narcotics transaction in a convenience store parking lot on Richmond Highway by two Richmond Police Department officers on June 9, 2023.

The officers later found him to be in possession of 3.18 grams of cocaine and arrested him.

Marrow later told the officer he had a firearm, and the officers found a loaded Glock 9mm handgun in his pants.

He had previous convictions for various felonies, including robbery, abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in 2010.

Because of his status as a convicted felon, Marrow is not legally allowed to possess a firearm or ammunition.

He pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm on Nov. 9 and was sentenced Monday to three and a half years in prison.
