CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- For the 51st year, the City Market is coming back.

The Charlottesville City Market’s 2024 season will kick off April 6 near the Downtown Mall.

Vendors will be offering various seasonal fruits and vegetables, locally raised meats, crafts, baked goods and more from local small businesses.

According to a release, City Market is a member of Virginia Fresh Match, which works to double the value of SNAP purchases at farmers’ markets and community food outlets.

This helps to increase access to fresh produce, support local farmers and build a more resilient food system.

People can stop by the Market Management tent to match their SNAP dollars up to $50 per visit.
